Rich Glenn Missionary Report 8-13-23

Richard Glenn joined us during Bible class on August 13th to share about the work he and his family have been doing in Kenya for the last 18 months. The Glenns will be returning to Africa in October for a two-year commitment to work with Friends of Tenwek at Tenwek Hospital. This Hospital is four hours from Nairobi, Kenya. As Richard and his family prepare to return to Kenya, they are fundraising for the next two years.

They are also seeking a sponsoring congregation to connect with on a more personal level. This congregation would be a vital connection for his family to the states. Sandy Parham will address where we go from here during Family Matters this morning. Would you be prayerful about our involvement in this great work, and be praying for the Glenns, and their work.

Stepping into the Field Director role brings new challenges, greater opportunities, and more chances to further the Gospel and share the love of Jesus.

During their time as ambassadors, their focus was on hospitality and support, but now, as Field Directors, they will be tackling development issues within Kenya and Africa as a whole. Their goal is to expand the work already going on and to find sustainable ways to spread the Gospel financially, organizationally, and structurally. Growing a surgical hospital in rural Kenya can be very difficult to fund.
